Charmouth Tennis Club plans to open on 29th March 2021 Great news, the government has announced its roadmap for easing restrictions to the current Covid lockdown. Outdoor tennis will be permitted from 29th March 2021. It is likely that when the club re-opens we shall be able to play both singles and doubles. We are sorry to say that our tennis courts are now closed due to the new Government Restrictions announced on Jan 4. As you will see from the statement below from the LTA, they are lobbying the government to re-open tennis ASAP and we will of course let you know as soon as anything changes. Dorset has now moved into Tier 3: Very High alert. This does not mean any significant changes to the current Covid-19 advice and the club remains open as before. However, Covid-19 travel restrictions into or out of our area now apply. The LTA have updated their grid showing the tennis activity allowed by Tier.

We are pleased to say that our courts will re-open for play on Wednesday December 2nd. As you will see from the information chart below from the LTA, thankfully we can now reinstate club sessions too. Please note: we are currently in TIER 2. Social distancing will still be required (especially in the clubhouse where there is a limit on numbers).
